Rehab is an important part of recovery. There are a few different types that will fit anyone’s lifestyle.
Inpatient rehab is an intensive program that requires you to stay on a campus setting. The facility will create a program for you that includes detox, therapy, and group sessions.
This is not a rehab program but a transition program you can do once rehab is completed. It includes sober living and various treatments. It is flexible, giving you the option of what treatments you want to attend.
The basic outpatient program is low-cost and flexible. It doesn’t give you much one on one care which can lead to problems while trying to recover. If you feel you need more, the Intensive Outpatient Program may be better suited to you. The treatment is more intensive and you get greater care.
Detox is when you get your body clean of the substance of abuse. You’ll abstain from using which will prompt withdrawal symptoms. Supervised detox is highly recommended in case there are complications. The process lasts up to 7 days usually.
