Drug & Alcohol Detox Programs near Lake Stevens, WA

There are approximately 18 recognized drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers around Lake Stevens, WA, not including those in the city of Seattle. There are no rehab centers in the town of Lake Stevens itself. Depending on your level of substance abuse, detox could be the vital first step in your recovery, as some substances, including alcohol, when abused heavily or for an extended period of time, can cause serious withdrawal symptoms, and can even result in death if not professionally monitored and medicated against.

For many substance abusers, withdrawals can be very uncomfortable. Addicts can experience a range of withdrawal symptoms, including nausea, anxiety, depression, and insomnia. Detox centers can help to minimize these symptoms by administering medications and natural remedies.

If someone has only mildly abused a substance, it is possible for them to detox on their own at home. But, checking into a medical detox center is a far better option. These facilities make the process a lot safer and more comfortable.

Most insurance providers pay for detox. Click here to find out if your healthcare plan covers the cost of addiction treatment.

Drug & Alcohol Rehab Programs near Lake Stevens, WA

As mentioned previously, there are many drug and alcohol rehab centers around Lake Stevens. These facilities provide counseling for recovering alcoholics and drug addicts.

Some facilities, known as inpatient rehab programs, are residential. These treatment centers house addicts for a few weeks while they adjust to sobriety. Rehab programs provide therapy and hold group support meetings to help patients avoid relapse in the future.

Other facilities, known as intensive outpatient programs (IOP), are non-residential. These facilities offer the same therapy and support as inpatient programs but don’t offer housing. Instead, each patient lives at home and reports to the facility daily to visit with counselors and attend group therapy.

Both types of rehab are valuable. Recovering addicts should take advantage of rehab, no matter which type they choose.

Alcoholics Anonymous

Alcoholics Anonymous, often referred to as “AA”, is a support network for alcohol addicts. Operating in nearly every town in America (and some in other countries), this is quite possibly the largest addiction support group in the world.

The group holds meetings all over the county every day. In most cities, you’ll find multiple daily meetings. Recovering alcoholics go to these meetings to talk to other people who suffer from the same condition. They talk about their lives and offer each other advice. As each person gets sober, they update the group about their recovery progress.

The foundations of AA are compassion and acceptance. The group doesn’t care about what mistakes a person has made in their life. They only want to help people get sober. They only judge people based on their desire to live an alcohol-free life.

Most people continue to attend meetings after they get clean. This not only allows them to receive continued support but also helps them to help other addicts.

Our Closest Outpatient Location: Evergreen at Northpoint (Bellevue)

Attending our drug and alcohol rehab program at Evergreen as an outpatient will allow you to maintain your work and family commitments, while receiving outstanding addiction treatment at our facility.

Even if you are an outpatient, we design individualized treatment plans for everybody that will address both your addiction and any underlying mental conditions that may be causing it. There is no “one-size-fits-all” approach like some other outpatient rehabs. That’s the Northpoint difference.

With our outpatient drug and alcohol treatment at Evergreen, we ensure your rehabilitation is at the most appropriate level for you, which we formulate on the following criteria: the severity of your addiction, and your professional obligations, family life, and medical coverage. Our 3 levels of treatment are:

  • Outpatient Program (OP): A traditional outpatient alcohol or drug treatment schedule usually includes 4-6 hours per week of therapy, along with additional psychiatric or family sessions as needed. OP is appropriate for less severe or short-term addictions, in which the patient must maintain full-time work or family responsibilities.
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): Intensive Outpatient is exactly what it sounds like - outpatient drug or alcohol rehab on a higher-level and a more intensive schedule than other outpatient programs. IOP provides 10-15 per week of drug addiction therapy, usually during evening or nighttime hours. This program is ideal for those who have moderate to severe addictions, but still need their daytime hours free to satisfy other obligations.
  • Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): Also known as Day Treatment, the PHP program offers six hours per day, five days per week of therapeutic activities while allowing the patient to spend nights and weekends at home. This is the highest level of care, intended for severe or long-term addictions and for those who do not have daytime work requirements. It can also serve as an ideal step-down strategy for someone who has recently completed an inpatient detox or drug rehab program.
  • Individualized Treatment: Every aspect of your addiction treatment outpatient program is individualized to your unique case, from the length of treatment and its weekly hourly commitment to the types of therapy you receive and how often. Our philosophy is that you are treated as the distinctive and complex person that you are, and not a soulless chart in a file.
  • Live at Home: Even in our most intensive day treatment programs, you can return home at the end of the day to spend time with family, and to sleep in your own bed. Other less-intensive options will even give you time to maintain more rigorous family and work obligations.
  • Affordable Options: With the different levels of care and the weekly plans to choose from, our outpatient treatment options are far more affordable than many in-patient facilities.
  • Dual Diagnosis: Our certified medical team provides not only an accurate diagnosis of mental health, they can also formulate essential integrated treatment plans that address specific combinations of co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.

Our accredited integrated treatment program has helped many individuals with addiction and mental health disorders. To this end, we offer a complementary mix of services that have proven to be essential to the recovery process:

Thanks to the Affordable Care Act, all private health insurance companies must offer insurance coverage that covers treatment for both drug and alcohol addiction. These health insurance plans cannot deny anyone coverage to a person for having a pre-existing condition, like a substance use disorder (SUD). Also, coverage for all treatment must begin the day that the coverage starts.

The cost of our completely individualized treatment at Evergreen is different for everyone, and is based on their specific addiction, background, and mental health needs. However, we work with most insurance providers in the U.S. to provide the best possible coverage, and to minimize your out of pocket expenses.

If your addiction is deemed by our certified medical team to be at a level that requires an inpatient program of treatment, we can refer you directly to our nearest inpatient location: Northpoint Washington, situated just a short distance away in Edmonds, WA. At our Northpoint Washington rehab center, we offer an excellent 28-day inpatient program for both alcohol and drug addictions.

As an inpatient, you will receive both medical intervention and holistic therapies, as well as the best research-supported traditional rehabilitation treatments. The benefits of inpatient treatment with us includes:

  • Stay for 28 days in a safe & supportive environment
  • Professional medical support 24/7
  • Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT)
  • Dual diagnosis to address mental health issues
  • Minimize the likelihood of relapse
  • Focus 100% of your time and effort on recovery

Our inpatient alcohol detox and rehab program in Edmonds, Northpoint Washington, will safely detox you from alcohol while lessening the severity of your withdrawal symptoms. The focus of our rehab program is on the psychological aspects of your addiction. You’ll understand the root causes of your addiction, manage cravings that cause relapse, and retrain your brain to function normally without alcohol.

Northpoint Washington also offers a drug detox and rehab program. The focus of our rehab program is also on the psychological aspects of your addiction, enabling you to function normally without the use of drugs.

Narcotics Anonymous

Narcotics Anonymous is another valuable resource. Similar to AA, this group offers support to recovering addicts. However, this group specifically helps drug addicts as opposed to alcoholics.

The organization is open to drug addicts of all kinds: heroincocainecrystal methprescription pills, etc. There are even people who are dependent on marijuana in the group. Its members don’t care which drug a person used, as long as they have the desire to overcome their addiction.

NA is similar to AA in that that both revolve around the Twelve Steps. The two groups use this system to help people overcome their habits. In working the Steps, addicts learn how to stop focusing so much on themselves and focus on the people around them, instead. For many people, this is a valuable lesson to learn.

SMART Recovery

The Twelve Steps are very valuable for some people. They provide some individuals with a structured system for working toward sobriety.

However, they don’t work for everyone. There’s no magic cure for addiction, after all.

Some people are skeptical of AA and NA because they think that these groups are religious organizations. While there is some spiritual discussion in Anonymous groups, this is a common misunderstanding about them. Nevertheless, some non-spiritual people are hesitant to join one of these programs.

Fortunately, there are plenty of alternatives to the Twelve Steps. SMART Recovery is one of these alternatives.

This organization takes a non-spiritual approach to the recovery process. It holds group support meetings just like AA and NA. But, these meetings are devoid of any conversation that involves religion.

If you dislike the Twelve Steps but still want support, you may want to try SMART Recovery instead.

There are several SMART meetings in nearby cities. Here are a few that might work well for you:

Al-Anon

Al-Anon is another addiction support group. But, instead of support addicts through recovery, this group is for family members. It helps parents, children, and spouses to overcome the pain of loving an addict.

It’s never easy to watch a loved one struggle with addiction. It causes all kinds of negative emotions. Al-Anon meetings are a place where family members can go to talk about these feelings.

Al-Anon has its own Twelve Step program. This system is designed to help family members cope with the fear, guilt, anger, and sadness that they feel. It was developed to teach these individuals how to let go of the things that they can’t control.

By working Al-Anon’s Steps, people come to the realization that certain things are simply out of their control. This is an important realization for many folks.

If an addict’s habit is affecting your life, this program could be helpful for you.

Alateen

Alateen is a popular subsection of Al-Anon. This group holds meetings specifically for young children and teenagers. It helps kids to cope with the pain of having a parent, guardian, or sibling who is an addict.

Oftentimes, parents have difficulty talking to their kids about addiction. So, it helps for a trained professional to talk to them. Al-Anon meetings are conducted by someone who has experience in communicating with children about substance abuse.

These meetings also help kids to understand that they aren’t alone. Research shows that 1 in 10 children lives with an addict. It’s important for young people to meet others who share their burden so that they don’t feel so isolated.
