For many people in WA State, going to an inpatient drug or alcohol rehab is out of the question. They may work, or they may have families at home who need them. The good news is that this doesn't have to deter you from getting the help you need. Intensive outpatient treatment programs, or IOP programs, are available to assist you.
When you go to an IOP, you're committing to attend an outpatient treatment program with a high level of care. These programs are generally about 12 weeks long, although it can vary from patient to patient. During those 12 weeks, you would attend appointments several days during the week. Usually it's between 3 and 5, depending on what your needs are.
Many times, people gravitate toward intensive outpatient programs because of their flexibility. They allow you to continue to work, go to school and take care of your other responsibilities. What's more, they have shown to be just as effective as inpatient care.
The coverage through Premera Blue Cross is excellent for IOP programs. It is a cost effective solution to help you reach your recovery goals.
If you have been convicted of a DUI, this might be a scary time in your life. Whether or not it's your first offense, it's time to take a step back and evaluate your relationship with alcohol. You may or may not have an addiction, but if you do, it needs to be treated. At Northpoint the Evergreen, we offer both DUI evaluations and DUI rehab at our facility.
The first step will be to evaluate you for alcoholism. This is a service you can obtain free of charge, and it allows you to know what you need to do next. Many times, DUI evaluations are court ordered, and this helps them decide if you need treatment.
If you do need treatment, you can obtain it right here at our addiction treatment center. If you have Premera Blue Cross, you'll find that you have excellent benefits for the services you need. This will take away any financial concerns you may have, and allow you to focus on your recovery.
It's very common for people to be unaware that they have a drug or alcohol problem. In fact, people often live their lives for years thinking that they are "only" abusing substances. More often than not, the substances they're using took control of them a long time ago.
This is why it's so important to offer addiction assessments and testing. There is undoubtedly a fine line between abuse and addiction. A professional assessment can help you understand your relationship with drugs or alcohol. Not only that, but it helps to talk with someone who knows the signs to look for.
Not everyone is ready to take an addiction assessment, and that's completely understandable. In fact, that might be where you are right now. If so, you may want to begin by taking an addiction quiz. It won't give you absolute clarity, but it might assist you with recognizing a problem. If you score high on the quiz, you can always obtain an assessment afterwards.
At Northpoint the Evergreen, many of the assessments we offer are free of charge. However, in the event that additional testing is required, Premera Blue Cross offers benefits to help offset the cost.
Vivitrol is a medication that has been FDA approved for the purpose of treating addictions. Specifically, it works to treat alcoholism and both illicit and prescription opioid addiction. This is an incredible breakthrough and so many people are experiencing a freedom they thought they'd never achieve.
We're excited to be able to offer Vivitrol Services here at Northpoint the Evergreen. It's even more exciting that Premera Blue Cross offers benefits to help pay for this medication.
While there are many forms of medication assisted treatment, Vivitrol is one that holds great promise. It is non-addictive, and patients can be on it for up to one year. The relapse rate is lower than it is for other types of MAT. Also, because it's given as a monthly injection, it's convenient, and much easier to remain compliant with. We believe that this medication may revitalize the way certain addictions are treated in the months and years to come.
Families often suffer the most when their loved ones are impacted by addictions. It's truly a disease that affects the entire family. We recognize that if you're addict, your family is your biggest support system. We also know that families themselves need support as their loved ones receive treatment.
These are the reasons we feel it's so important to offer family support services. They can take on many forms, including:
This is one of the reasons why Premera Blue Cross is so proud to partner with us. They also have a strong commitment to families and to keeping them together. Their benefits will cover family sessions, as well as other services.
The first step for many addicts is to go through the detox process. Drug and alcohol detox can get your recovery moving along the right path. It helps to address the physical side of your addiction, which is critical when you stop using.
While we don't offer medical detox services at Northpoint the Evergreen, we do work with other providers who do. Premera Blue Cross may offer benefits for these services as well. We can give you a referral to a detoxification program that will be effective and affordable for you.
Now that you know you Premera Blue Cross partners with Northpoint the Evergreen, the next step is yours. You should start by getting a free phone assessment. This will allow you to understand your addiction more fully, and learn what type of help you need.
It's time to come to terms with your addiction, and this is the hardest step of your recovery journey. It's certainly not easy to admit you have a substance abuse problem. However, once you do, the rewards are greater than you can imagine.
